A Non-Invasive Method of Monitoring Glucose in Blood Using a Planar Yagi-Uda Antenna and Microstrip Filter

This work presents a non-invasive method to determine the glucose levels in blood samples using planar Yagi-Uda antenna and novel microstrip filter. The proposed operates at 5.5 GHz exhibiting uni-directional pattern giving maximum gain of 6.74 dBi operating band. A commercially available low-cost FR-4 substrate dimensions 30 mm×40 mm×1.6 mm is used as dielectric substrate. finger phantom resembling human designed simulation environment, which consists bone, skin, blood, fat different layers. concentration varied from 0 mg/dL 500 shifts frequencies are observed by keeping various locations surrounding antenna. good frequency shift 26 MHz when placed below similarity between measurement results. Also, filter, GHz, developed, studied top filter shown give 4 changes 250 mg/dL. study supported analysing transmission coefficient parameters group delay characteristics.
